Chong Mui Ngam holds an advanced diploma in playwriting from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She is the winner of the 2003 "Best Original Script Award" from the Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies for Alive in the Mortuary. She has written twelve plays, several of which have been staged by professional companies in Hong Kong.
