Dayla Rogers first learned Turkish in high school as a participant in Rotary Youth Exchange. After earning a master’s degree in education, she moved to Istanbul to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher trainer. Over time she developed a passion for Turkish literature and translation....

In 2016 she received a Finalist Ribbon for her translation of Faruk Duman’s “The Rifle” and in 2017 she received a PEN/HEIM Translation Fund Grant for the novel “Wûf” by Kemal Varol. She has translated several full-length works that are available for publication.
