Fabrizio Mejía Madrid

Fabrizio Mejía Madrid was born in Mexico City in 1968. He is the author of the novels Hombre al agua (Joaquín Mortiz, 2004), which was awarded the Premio Antonin Artaud; El rencor (Planeta, 2006); Tequila, DF (Random House-Mondadori, 2009); Disparos en la oscuridad (2011); and Arde la calle. La novela de los 80s (2014)....

His essay collections include Pequeños actos de desobediencia civil (1996), Entre las sábanas (1995), Salida de Emergencia (2007), and La edad del polvo: Historia Natural de la Ciudad de México desde mi ventana (2009), as well as a comic entitled Septiembre. Zona de desastres (2013). His work has appeared in the anthologies The Mexico City Reader and Ustedes les consta, among others. He writes for the magazines Proceso, Letras Libres, and Gatopardo .
