Ilana Zeffren was born in 1972 in the small town of Rehovot, Israel,, and grew up in the even smaller town of Ashkelon. She graduated in 1998 from Viso Haifa & The West Galilee College. She currently lives in Tel Aviv. In 2005 she published "Pink Story," a graphic novel describing the lives of the gay and lesbian community in Israel by recounting the events of her own life story. Since then she has published comic strips and stories in newspapers, magazines, and literary anthologies. For the past six years she has been writing and drawing "Rishumon," a personal column in comics, in City Mouse, a local entertainment magazine. She lives with a beautiful girlfriend and two magnificent cats that can talk (in comics, anyway).
