Maureen Shaughnessy (Oregon, USA) has translated Maya folktales by Guadalupe Urbina and several Cañari legends, and she co-translated the memoirs of Carles Fontserè, the Catalan poster artist. She lived in Barcelona, Spain, for six years, has traveled extensively throughout South and Central America, and currently lives in Bariloche, Argentina.
