Ondjaki was born in Luanda in 1977. His books include O Assobiador [The Whistler], Bom dia camaradas [Good Morning, Comrades], Quantas madrugadas tem a noite [How many Dawns has the Night], and Os da minha rua [On My Street].
Words Without Borders opens doors to international exchange through translation, publication, and promotion of the best international literature.
