Pan Bouyoucas

Pan Bouyoucas is a prize-winning Greek-Canadian writer, playwright, and translator. Anna Pourquoi won the Prix littéraire des collégiens in 2005, and two of his works have been shortlisted for the Governor General's Literary Award: L'Autre in 2001 and Thésée et le Minotaure in 2003. His novel The Man Who Wanted to Drink Up the Sea, written originally in English, has been translated into several languages and selected by France’s FNAC as one of the 12 best novels of 2005-2006. The Tattoo, his other novel written originally in English, was longlisted for the Re-Lit Award in 2012, and English translations of Portrait d’un mari avec les cendres de sa femme and Cocorico are forthcoming in Canada from Guernica Editions in 2018 and 2019.
