Paxima Mojavezi

Paxima Mojavezi, born in 1978, started her career as a journalist in 1995, writing mostly about sociology and literature. Her first book, The Other Side of Sadeq Hedayat’s Coin, an analytical study of love in Hedayat’s short stories, was published in 2000 and is now in its fifth reprint....

Her first work of fiction, a collection of short stories titled Hallucination’s Design, was published the same year. It was followed in 2004 by another collection titled I Will Become the Sky. “Forty-Eight Steps,” which appeared in that volume, received the Golshiri Foundation Award.  Mojavezi has a doctoral degree in the sociology of literature, a subject on which she has written and published extensively. She is currently the editor-in-chief of the Petroleum Family magazine, the literature section editor of M.S. magazine, and lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences and Technology.
