Peter Swirski is Teaching Professor at the University of Missouri, St. Louis; Honorary Professor in the Center for American Studies at Jinan University, China, and member of the executive council of the International American Studies Association (IASA) and of the Dimic Research Institute for Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies. His research spans modern American literature, history, and culture. He is also recognized internationally as the leading Stanislaw Lem scholar.
