Virgil Duda

Virgil Duda was born in Barlad, Romania, in 1939, and graduated from the College of Juridical Sciences of Bucharest. Ten of his novels were published in Romania, among them The Listless Inquirer, Confusion, and The War of Memories. He emigrated to Israel in 1988 with his family....

After the fall of Ceausescu, six more of his novels were published in Romania, including Romania, in Late December, Alvis and the Destiny, To Live in Sin, and Six Women. He has won prizes for literature in Romania and Israel, and is the former editor of the Ultima ora daily and vice-president of the Association of the Israeli Writers of the Romanian Language.
