Strange Book in a Strange Land

By Rohan Kamicheril

If the life of the mind is what binds us across differences of nation, belief and race, then surely bookstores are the outposts of that warm and inviting brotherhood. Maud Newton has been running short features from her readers on bookstores across America and the world that they are particularly fond of. Among the most recent are Buenos Aires's L'Ateneo, Hamburg's Bücherstube Stolterfoht and Kenny's Bookshop in Galway. Given WWB's own insatiable wanderlust and love of bookshops, I'm sure this series will resonate with many of our readers. What are your favourite musty booksellers' establishments to duck into when out of town?
