Sang Young Park was born in Daegu in 1988. He studied French and journalism at Sungkyunkwan University and attended the creative writing master's program at Dongguk University. He began his career by winning the 2016 Munhakdongne New Writers Award for "Searching for Paris Hilton" and published his short story collection The Tears of an Unknown Artist, or Zaytun Pasta in 2018.

Anton Hur was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He is the translator of Kyung-Sook Shin’s The Court Dancer (Pegasus Books, 2018) and Kang Kyeong-ae’s The Underground Village (Honford Star, 2018). His writing and translations have appeared in Words without Borders, Asymptote, and Korean Literature Now. He is a Korean literature critic on TBS eFM’s The Bookend. He resides in Seoul.
