Maartje Wortel was born in Eemnes, the Netherlands, in1982. She lives and works in Amsterdam, where she is a columnist for Metropolis M and also writes for Trouw. She is the author of five books and numerous short stories.
David Doherty studied English and literary linguistics in Glasgow before moving to Amsterdam, where he has been working as a translator for the past eighteen years. His translations include Jaap Robben’s debut novel, You Have Me to Love (original title: Birk), and The Dyslexic Hearts Club by Hanneke Hendrix.
