Valter Hugo Mãe (Portugal) has published seven books of poetry and three novels (most recently folclore íntimo); edited anthologies of the poets Manoel de Barros, José Régio, and Adília Lopes, among others; and has translated works from Italian and Spanish. He is included in Best European Fiction 2010. He also dabbles in art: his first show,“the face of gregor samsa,” took place in Porto in 2006.
Kenneth Krabbenhoft is a Professor at New York University. He is the author of several books about Spanish and Portuguese literature and translator of Pablo Neruda, Saint John of the Cross, and Eduardo Lourenço, among others.
