Dina Salústio is a Cabo Verdean writer of novels, stories, essays, children’s and YA literature, and poetry. A member of the Cabo Verdean Academy of Letters, she was co-recipient of a 2018 English PEN Translation Award for her novel The Madwoman of Serrano (translated by Jethro Soutar), a 2016 Rosalía de Castro Award for Literature in Portuguese from PEN Galicia, and several prestigious Cabo Verdean literary awards.
Nina Perrotta is a literary translator and current assistant editor at Words Without Borders. Her work has been published or is forthcoming in publications including the Iowa Review and the Nashville Review. She recently completed a Fulbright grant in Curitiba, Brazil.
