Justyna Bargielska was born in 1977. She has published three volumes of poetry and a collection of prose. She received the 2001 Rainer Maria Rilke poetry award, the 2011 Gdynia Literary Prize for her prose debut, Stillbirthlets, and the 2010 Gdynia Literary Prize for her poetry collection Two Fiats. Stillbirthlets was shortlisted for the Nike Award. Bargielska’s work has appeared in various literary periodicals, including Odra and Ha!art. Her poetry has been translated into Slovenian, Bulgarian, and English.
Katarzyna Szuster holds an MA in English philology from the University of Łódź, where she also completed postgraduate studies in publishing studies. Her poems and translations have recently appeared in the latest issue of Aufgabe, devoted to the work of Miron Białoszewski and contemporary Polish poetry, as well as Moria, Dekadentzya, Biweekly, and Arterie. Forthcoming work will appear in the anthology Free Over Blood and the literary journal Poetry. She knits, decoupages, sews, and scrapbooks.
