Jan Kristoffer Dale has worked at a brewery and is a former student at the Writer Academy in Bergen. He has published several short stories. Worker's Hands, his first collection, won the 2016 Tarjei Vesaas Debutant Prize and the 2017 Sørlandets litteraturpris, an annual award dedicated to authors from the Southern region of Norway.

Bruce Thomson has worked on numerous Nordic language translation projects within a wide variety of genres. He was selected for the 2018 Emerging Translator’s Mentorship Programme organized by the National Centre for Writing in Norwich. His translation of Benedicte Maurseth’s To Be Nothing: Conversations with Knut Hamre, Hardanger Fiddle Master will be published in Fall 2019.
