Ajla Terzić

Ajla Terzić is a writer, translator, and journalist. She has received many awards for her writing, including a Central European Initiative Fellowship for Writers in Residence in 2012. In 2013–14 she was a Hubert H. Humphrey Fulbright fellow at the University of Maryland....

 She is the author of a poetry collection, Kako teško pišem (How Difficult it Is for Me to Write, 2004), and two novels, Lutrija (Lottery, 2009) and Mogla je biti prosta priča, which will be published as It Could Have Been a Simple Story in January 2017 by North Dakota State University Press. She is writing a book on the life of the English artist Lady Dickinson, whose interest in the traditional arts of the Balkans brought her to Bosnia in the 1920s, where she took part in cultural exchanges between Yugoslavia and Great Britain.
