Basharat Peer's first book, Curfewed Night: The Battles for Kashmir, was published recently by Random House in South Asia and will be published later this year by Scribner in the United States. He has reported on South Asian politics for the Guardian, New Statesman, the Nation, n+1, and the Financial Times and worked as an Assistant Editor at Foreign Affairs magazine in New York City.
