Catherine Anyango Grünewald  is a Swedish-Kenyan artist. She has studied at Central Saint Martins and The Royal College of Art, where she also taught for ten years. She lives and works in Sweden and is a senior lecturer at Konstfack University. Anyango Grünewald has published, lectured, and exhibited internationally. In 2010 her graphic novel adaptation of Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness was awarded the Observer’s Graphic Novel of the Month. It has been translated into seven languages.
