Christopher Buxton

Christopher Buxton is a novelist and translator. He moved to Bulgaria in 1977, where he worked as a teacher for three years. He has been writing Bulgarian orientated fiction since 2006 and has had four works published by Bulgarian publishers....

He also has several titles published in English: Far from the Danube, Prudence and the Red Baron, Svetlana is Dead, Radoslava and the Viking Prince, The Devil’s Notebook, Surge, and a children’s book entitled, The Bossy Princess and the Seven Scallywags. His translation of Rumen Balabanov’s Ragiad was published by Dalkey Press in The Best European Fiction 2013. He edited the English translation of Alec Popov’s Mission London (Istros Books, 2014). He translated East of Eden by Izabela Shopova (Inkwater Press, 2015), “Bulgarians around London: Where they go, what they do and should I care?” by Nikola Filipov (Author Press, 2014), and extracts of Milen Ruskov’s The Heights.
