Cindy Schuster

Cindy Schuster is a poet and translator. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Latin American literature at the University of California, Irvine. She is co-translator of the anthology Cubana: Contemporary Fiction by Cuban Women (Beacon Press, 1998). Her translations of fiction and poetry have appeared in various anthologies and journals, including Words Without Borders: The World Through the Eyes of Writers, New Short Fiction from Cuba, Poetry International, The American Voice, Exquisite Corpse, and Compost, and she has been awarded a Translation Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts for her translation of a collection of short stories by Argentinean writer Rodolfo Walsh.
