Ciwan Qado is a poet and translator who was born in 1980 in Amuda, Rojava. He studied Psychology at Damascus University. Qado has written three books of poetry: The Blind Snake (2003) and Secretly I Kneaded in My Heart (2008), both published covertly for lack of government approval, and An Eye Sleeps In (2018).
