Dinara Georgeoliani received her B. A. from Tbilisi State Pedogogical Institute of Foreign Lanugages (the Republic of Georgia). She received her íCandidateë degree from Moscow State Pedagogical Institute and her Ph.D as a linguist, specializing in translation and linguistics. She is the author of numerous books in linguistics, including a Russian-English dictionary of idiom. She teaches in the Foreign Languages Department at Central Washington University and, with Mark Halperin, translates from the Russian. Their bilingual selection and translation of Viktor Sosnora's poems, A Million Premonitions, is published by Zephyr Press.
