Born in Florence in 1970, Elisa Biagini has published six poetry collections including the bilingual L’Ospite (Einaudi 2004) and  Nel Bosco (Einaudi 2007).  The Guest in the Wood (Chelsea), translated by Diana Thow, received the 2014 Best Translated Book Award. She has represented Italy in many international festivals, including those in Rotterdam, Berlin, Dubai, Hong Kong, London, and Brisbane. She has recently translated and edited an anthology of American women poets.
