Emily Jones learned Chinese at the universities of Cambridge, Ningbo, and Qingdao, and was the recipient of a BCLT mentorship in translation in 2011. Her translations include novels by He Jiahong, Di An, and Liu Xinglong, as well as short stories, poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. She is a founding trustee of the charity Paper Republic.
