Gunther Geltinger was born in 1974 in Erlenbach am Main, Germany. He studied screenwriting and dramaturgy in Vienna and at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. He took part in the Prose Authors' Workshop at the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin and was awarded the Rolf Dieter Brinkmann Grant of the City of Cologne. Man Angel is his debut novel.
