Guo Jing

Guo Jing is a social worker and feminist activist in China. In 2014, she took Dongfang Cooking Training School in Hangzhou to court after it denied her a job on the basis that "the school only wants male employees”....

She won China's first gender discrimination case against a state-owned enterprise.

She is the co-founder of the 074 Legal Aid Hotline for Women's Right to Work (LAHWRW), which provides legal advice and case support for women who are victims of gender discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace.

She is also the author of Diary of the Wuhan Lockdown. While Wuhan was under lockdown for seventy-seven days due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Guo recorded her daily life and thoughts about social issues in a diary that garnered considerable attention on social media.
