Janet Livingstone

Janet Livingstone is a translator, trainer, and nonprofit consultant based in Bratislava, Slovakia.  She has been translating film scripts, subtitles, novels and other works of literature from Slovak into English since 2004. Her translations include The Best of All Worlds by Swiss-Slovak author Irena Brežná (winner of the Swiss Literary Prize), Communism by playwright Viliam Klimáček, short stories by Ondrej Štefánik, Václav Pankovčín, Ľudo Urban, and Monika Kompaníková (to appear in 2015 in an anthology of Slovak literature), and Kompaníková’s novel Boat Number Five.
