João Melo

João Melo is a writer, journalist, advertising executive, and professor. He was born in Luanda in 1955. He studied in Coimbra and Luanda and in Rio de Janeiro. A charter member of the Union of Angolan Writers (UEA), he held various positions of responsibility in the respective social agencies, such as secretary-general, president of the Directiva Commission, and fiscal chairman of the board. Currently, he is the director of a communications agency, teaches in two private universities, and is a member of the house of representatives to the National Assembly.
