Born in Asunción in 1972, José Pérez Reyes is a writer, lawyer, and university professor. He was chosen by the Hay Festival and the Bogota39 jury as one of the thirty-nine most outstanding Latin American writers under the age of thirty-nine. He is the author of two books, Ladrillos del Tiempo (The Bricks of Time) and Clonsonante (Clonsonant). His short stories have been published in anthologies in Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Portugal, and Spain. His website is http://www.joseperezreyes.blogspot.com.
