Joyce Fortuné-Pope

Joyce Fortuné-Pope, a doctoral candidate in history at UCLA, is working on a project titled "Slavery and Reparation in the US," related to the Mauritius Truth and Justice Commission on colonialism and slavery. Her articles have appeared in Revi Kiltir Kreol and History and Memory, and she has co-written the text of the bédé Zistoir Ze ek Melia, 1834, published by the Nelson Mandela Center for African Culture (Mauritius).
