Kate Newman is a writer, editor, and translator based in New York. As Director of Translations for the digital publishing house Traviesa, she has overseen the translation of six fiction anthologies: Visionaries, Childless Parents, Messiah, Knockoff, Extreme Fiction, and Bad Luck. In the same role, she helped produce two fiction anthologies for the art and literary magazine Suelta. Her own writing has appeared in the Atlantic, Al Jazeera America, and National Geographic Traveler, among others.
