Madeline Earp

Madeline Earp is a China freedom of expression expert and research analyst for Asia with Freedom House's annual Freedom on the Net internet freedom index. She was formerly the senior Asia program researcher at the Committee to Protect Journalists in New York. Earp has an MA in East Asian Studies from Harvard University, a BA in English literature from Cambridge University, and studied Mandarin in China and Taiwan. On Twitter: @madelineearp.
