Magali Tercero

Magali Tercero is a journalist in Mexico City. She is the author of the books Cuando llegaron los bárbaros . . . Vida cotidiana y narcotráfico (2011); San Judas Tadeo, santería y narcotráfico (2009);  Frida Kahlo. Una mirada crítica (with Teresa del Conde; 2007);  and Cien freeways: DF y alrededores (2006).  Her essays have appeared in the anthologies  A ustedes les consta. Antología de la crónica en México, edited by Carlos Monsiváis (2006) and Los mejores ensayos mexicanos 2005, edited by Joaquín Mortiz. She is the recipient of the 2010 Premio Nacional Fernando Benítez de Periodismo Cultura, the 2007 Premio SIP de Excelencia Periodística, and the 2005 Premio Nacional de Crónica Urbana Manuel Gutiérrez Nájera UACM.
