Magda Szécsi

Magda Szécsi was born in Komádi, near the Romanian border. An artist and writer, she has been freelancing since 1988. She has written several books for children and is a prolific illustrator. The exerpts in the August 2010 issue of Words without Borders are from her latest book, Cigánymandala (Gypsy Mandalas), published by Széphalom Műhely, Budapest, in 2007.
