Manuel de Lope

Manuel de Lope was born in Burgos in 1949. When he was fifteen he moved to Madrid, where he lives now, after having lived in Geneva, London, and the South of France for twenty-five years. In 1978 he published his first novel, Albertina en el país de los Garamantes, thus beginning one of the most relevant trajectories of current Spanish literature....

In 1998, he obtained the Primavera Award for the novel, Las perlas peregrinas. His novel, The Wrong Blood, will be published by Other Press in English in 2010.
