Marame Gueye

Marame Gueye is an assistant professor of African and African diaspora literatures in the department of English at East Carolina in Greenville, NC. She earned her doctorate in Comparative Literature from SUNY Binghamton in 2005 and was the recipient of the Andrew Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship in Africana Studies at Vassar College from 2004 to 2007. Her research interests are African oral literatures, women and gender studies, immigration, and translation studies.
