Maria Pace Ottieri lives in Milan where she contributes to various newspapers, including L'Unità and Diario della Settimana. She has written a novel Amore Nero (Mondadori, 1984, Viareggio Opera Prima award) and Stranieri. Her novel, Once You're Born... was made into a film that debuted at Cannes.
