Miguel Angel Oxlaj Cúmez of Compala, Guatemala, received the Premio de Literatura Indígena B'ATZ' in a competition juried by the well-known Mexican author Juan Villoro among others. Oxlaj Cúmez has been active in the politics of defending the people, languages and cultures of his and other small countries.
