Milica Mićić Dimovska

Milica Mićić-Dimovska was born in Novi Sad, capital city of the province of Vojvodina, Serbia. She received a BA in general literature and theory of literature at the University of Belgrade....

She has published four books of short stories: Priče o ženi (Stories about a Woman, 1972), Poznanici (Acquaintances, 1980), Odmrzavanje (Defrosting, 1991), and U procepu (In the Crevice, 1998); Zaručnice (Fiancées, selected prose, 2003); and four novels: Utvare (Phantoms, 1987), Poslednji zanosi MSS (The Last Enthusiasms of MSS, 1996), Mrena (The Cataract, 2002), and Utočište (The Shelter, 2005). Acquaintances was awarded the Karolj Sirmaji literary prize; Defrosting received the Ivo Andrić prize, and The Last Enthusiasmsof MSS the Nolit, Branko Ćopić and Bora Stanković prizes. Her stories have been translated and included in several anthologies of Serbian prose published in Serbia and abroad. She lives and works in her home town, Novi Sad.
