Mohammad Ali Diriye

Mohammad Ali Diriye was born in Somalia, and has studied in Saudi Arabia and in Sudan.  He is a medical doctor, and is now Chief Resident at the Jordan University Hospital, Family Medicine Department. Beside his medical career, he is also a short story writer and a novelist, as well as the Chief Editor of a monthly Somali magazine published in Arabic. He has published a collection of narratives and short stories in Arabic, One way to Caracas (Dubai, Madarek Publishing House, 2011), and he has won several literary awards, including the sixth Sharjah Literary Prize for a novel which will be published soon.
