Mui Poopoksakul

Mui Poopoksakul is a lawyer-turned-translator with a special interest in contemporary Thai literature. She is the translator of Prabda Yoon’s The Sad Part Was (2017) and Moving Parts (September 2018), both from Tilted Axis Press....

Her work has also appeared in various literary journals, including Two LinesAsymptote, The Quarterly Conversation, and In Other Words. A native of Bangkok, she spent most of her life on the east coast of the US before moving to Berlin, Germany. Her translations of Duanwad Pimwana’s novel Bright and short story collection Arid Dreams, were published in 2019 from Two Lines Press and Feminist Press, respectively.
