Natascha Bruce translates from Chinese. Her translations include Lonely Face by Yeng Pway Ngon (Balestier, 2019; shortlisted for TA First Translation Prize), Lake Like a Mirror by Ho Sok Fong (Two Lines, 2020; recipient of English PEN Presents and PEN Translates awards), and A Classic Tragedy by Xu Xiaobin (co-translated with Nicky Harman, forthcoming from Balestier). She has worked on numerous short stories by Dorothy Tse, including for the anthologies That We May Live (Two Lines, 2020) and Antipodean China (forthcoming from Giramondo). She and Tse were winners of the 2019 Words Without Borders Poems in Translation Contest.
