Padma Narayanan is the translator of many books of literary fiction from the Tamil, including La. Sa. Ramamritham's Apeetha (Oxford University Press, 2014), Indira Parthasarathy's Poison Roots (Amaryllis, 2014), and La. Sa. Ramamritham's The Stone Laughs and Atonement (Katha Press, 2005).  Her translations have also appeared in Agni (Boston), Caravan (New Delhi), and elsewhere.  She lives in Delhi.
