Philip Price was born in the north of England, studied Russian and German at the University of Glasgow, and then moved to Tokyo, where he now works full time as a Japanese-English translator. He took up Georgian as a hobby several years ago and rapidly fell in love with the language, literature, food, and wine of Georgia. His translations of Japanese and Georgian literature have appeared in various media, most recently in the short story anthology The Book of Tbilisi.
