Prabda Yoon

Prabda Yoon gained prominence as the writer who popularized postmodern narrative techniques in contemporary Thai literature. He is the author of multiple short-story collections, novels, and screenplays and has translated The Catcher in the Rye, A Clockwork Orange, and Lolita into Thai. His short-story collection Kwam Na Ja Pen won the S.E.A. Write Award in 2002. He recently wrote and directed his first film, Motel Mist, which was screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam earlier this year. Tilted Axis Press published the first book-length English translation of his work, the story collection The Sad Part Was, in 2017 and will publish a second collection, Moving Parts, in September 2018.
