Rafi Zabor

Rafi Zabor was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He has lived around the United States and Canada, and in England, Scotland, France, Turkey, and Israel. For many years he wrote about music for a number of publications, and has worked as a jazz drummer at home and abroad. His first novel, The Bear Comes Home, won the PEN/Faulkner Award for fiction in 1998. His forthcoming I, Wabenzi, the first volume of a projected tetralogy, should be published in 2005. He lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
