A native of Washington, D.C., Richard Zenith lives in Lisbon, Portugal, where he works as a freelance writer, translator, and researcher in the Fernando Pessoa archives. His recent publications include A Little Larger Than the Entire Universe: Selected Poems of Fernando Pessoa (Penguin, 2006) and Education by Stone: Selected Poems of João Cabral de Melo Neto (Archipelago, 2005), which won the 2006 translation award from the Academy of American Poets.
