Sukumaran

Sukumaran (b. 1957) is a poet who writes primarily in Tamil and translates from English and Malayalam. His published translations include Gabriel García Márquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude, Alessandro Barrico’s Silk, Ayfer Tunc’s Azizbe Incident, and One Hundred Selected Poems of Pablo Neruda....

 He has published six volumes of poems and six volumes of essays and articles in Tamil.  He worked as editor for a Tamil weekly magazine and chief editor for a television channel in Malayalam, and is now the executive editor of Kalachuvadu, a Tamil monthly magazine. He lives in Thiruvananthapuram.
